Matt Hardy returned to the ring this evening on Monday Night Raw, taking on former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy in his first match on television since April.
Matt and his brother Jeff Hardy won the Smackdown Tag Team Championships from The Usos two nights after WrestleMania 35, but were forced to vacate the belts just three weeks later when Jeff injured his knee. He has been out of action since, and was not featured during the 2019 WWE Draft.
