Paige Cleared of Aiport Incident, UFC’s Jon Jones Fails Drug Test

Several months back, a very serious issue involving Paige and her fiancee Alberto El Patron took place at an airport in Orlando. Originally, Patron was being investigated by the Orlando Police Department  for a possible domestic violence issue. The whole ordeal was publicized enough that Global Force Wrestling stripped Patron of the GFW Championship, and he is currently suspended from the company as well. While the story changed on a few different occasions, Paige alleged that she was the aggressor in the incident which the police later found to be true. Patron was later ruled out as a suspect and Paige had been under investigation for possible battery ever since.
TMZ Sports is now reporting that Paige is not going to be charged for any such incident after all. A representative of the 9th Judicial Circuit State Attorney’s Office has informed TMZ that Patron had no desire to move forward with charges. The controversial wrestling couple are now both reported to be free of all possible charges from the incident. Paige claimed that the incident arose when she threw a drink on Alberto after he had made some disrespectful comments about her ill uncle, and she also claims that the issue was blown way out of proportion by media outlets. Paige and Alberto are still dating. Paige has been teasing a return to WWE lately, while Alberto remains suspended from GFW. The entire case surrounding the airport incident is now believed to be closed.
TMZ has also reported that UFC fighter Jon Jones has officially failed a drug test that was taken prior to his fight against Daniel Cormier at UFC 214. He was stripped of his Light Heavyweight title and he has been “provisionally suspended” as well. He apparently tested positive for steroids known as turinabol. Jones had been teasing a fight against WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar, and the belief is that Lesnar was going to return to UFC to fight him next year. However, Jones will likely be suspended as a result of this test failure, and this isn’t his first offense either. Jones could be facing a four year ban from MMA, leaving his proposed fight with Lesnar on hold for a very long time.
